Meals are not included. Guest can bring food with them or purchase a sack lunch from ColdFoot during the stop Northbound. The cost is $12.00 and is a sandwich, drink, bag of chips and fruit. It’s recommend guest eat on the plane as there is no dedicated break while in Barrow to eat lunch.
Tour Flights and fly PA 31-350 “Navajos.” These aircraft can seat up to 9 passengers and the pilot. Every seat is a window seat in a Navajo!
Utqiaqvik (Barrow) Expedition - One Day Tour

• Depart Barrow on mid-afternoon flight to Fairbanks
• 8:00 am Depart Fairbanks by air.
• 9:15 am Arrive Coldfoot. Restroom Break, pickup lunch (purchase on own) from Coldfoot Camp Trucker’s Cafe.
• 10:15 am Depart Coldfoot.
• 12:15 pm Arrive Barrow. Village Sightseeing Tour.
• 2:00 pm Depart Barrow for Fairbanks (typically with one rest stop in Coldfoot).
• 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Arrive Fairbanks.

The Barrow Expedition One Day Tour involves a full day of travel and touring from Fairbanks to Barrow. Please see reverse for departure and arrival times. The tour price includes Barrow Village Tour, and air transportation. Meals are NOT included in the tour
price. A sack lunch can be purchased in the morning as part of the check-in process.
BARROW VILLAGE TOUR
The Barrow Village Tour will include traveling by van thru the residential and commercial areas of the community, and a stop out along the shores of the Arctic Ocean.
WHAT TO WEAR
Dress for comfort, not to impress. Wear comfortable walking-type shoes that can get a bit soiled in the event of rain. Dress in layers, and bring a warm mediumweight jacket. During spring (mid-May to mid-June) and fall (mid-August to mid-September) bring a warm
cap and gloves or mittens.
WEATHER ALTERATIONS AND THE BARROW EXPEDITION
PLEASE NOTE: Guest safety always takes precedence over convenience. Weather in Alaska's Arctic can and does affect flying conditions. Weather may require alteration of a portion or all of the scheduled tour itinerary. Due to the variable conditions on the Arctic Coast, the Barrow Expedition includes a built-in weather alternate. If current or forecast weather conditions do not allow us to land at Barrow we visit another village, Anaktuvuk Pass. If weather does not allow us to land at Barrow or Anaktuvuk Pass, we visit
the communities of Coldfoot & Wiseman.
Air craft used are 8-passenger, twin-engine Piper Navajo Chieftains. The village of Barrow is a "damp" community. The sale
of alcoholic beverages is prohibited and punishable by law. Alcohol is allowed for personal consumption and may be brought into the village. Please respect the laws set forth by the residents of the community.
Please call 907-474-8600 to check-in 24 to 48 hours prior to departure. On the day of the tour, it is the guest’s responsibility to arrange transportation to our departure terminal at least one hour prior to tour departure. Fairbanks departures leave from our departure terminal at 3820 University Ave. South, East Ramp Fairbanks Airport.
Guests are limited to5—10pounds per person. Luggage over 10 pounds is subject to excess freight charges. Items carried into the plane with you are limited to items small enough to fit in the seat pocket in front of you (water bottle, book, camera). All other items will need to be stored in a secure luggage area by the flight Crew
NOTE: It is very important to limit yourself to one hand-carry size bag per person for your day bag. If needed, Northern Alaska Tour Company can store excess baggage and deliver it to you upon your return from the tour.
