Discover Alaska Inc. (“Discover Alaska”) is acting solely as an agent for supplier(s) identified on accompanying documents in selling travel-related services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by this agency. All arrangements for transport, accommodation and services are made upon the express condition that Discover Alaska and any sponsoring organization shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity of any kind occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including without limitation, any act of negligence or breach of contract of any third party such as airlines, cruise lines, bus companies, tour operators, facilities, guest speakers, trains, hotels, restaurants, ground handlers, etc. who is to or does supply any goods or services for the tour. Discover Alaska is not responsible for any losses or expenses relating to or due to delay or changes in schedule, loss or delay of luggage, overbooking of accommodations, default of any third parties, sickness, weather, strikes, acts of God, acts of terrorism, force majeure, war, quarantine, criminal activity or for any other causes beyond its control. Rates and Itinerary shown on any form of media were in effect at the time of production; however Discover Alaska reserves the right to withdraw any tour to make any rate and itinerary changes as necessary and without prior notice. Unless otherwise noted, prices are per person based on double occupancy, and do not include port taxes, service charges or airfare and related government taxes. Taxes and fuel surcharges are beyond our control and are also subject to change. If less than 25 cabins are booked on a departure, that trip may be hosted by Holland America. Discover Alaska reserves the right to make changes to the hotels and replace with a hotel of equal value

Payment in full must be received at least 90 days prior to departure. We reserve the right to treat a booking as cancelled if the balance is not paid on time. There is a $300.00 non-refundable administration fee per person upon cancellation regardless of insurance program purchased. Insurance Premiums are nonrefundable. In addition, cancellations are subject to penalties established by the cruise lines, airlines, hotels, etc. Please note: All cancellations must be made in writing to Discover Alaska. Cancellation insurance is highly recommended. Cancellation insurance may not cover the entire cruise and land package. Currently Holland America cancellation penalties are as follows: cancellations made 90 to 57 days prior to departure incur charges equal to deposit requirement, 56 to 29 days a 50% penalty, 28 to 16 days a 75% penalty, a 100% penalty of gross fare (no refund) is given to cancellations made 15 days or less (including no shows) prior to the departure.

You may make monthly payments at no additional charge. Call and we will be happy to set up a payment plan best for you. Final payments are due 90 days prior to departure. Passengers not paid in full 90 days prior will be cancelled. Payments may be made by check, money order, or major credit card.

The cancellation policy of the cruise line may be subject to change. Discover Alaska is not responsible for any losses or additional losses that the traveler may sustain due to changes in policy. Please note that a cruise line’s specific refund may only be based on the cruise fare and not the entire cruise/tour package paid by you and supplied by Discover Alaska. As such, there are no refunds above and beyond the refunds paid by the cruise line, and traveler hereby expressly waives same. If you wish to change any details of your booking, we will do our best to help you. In such cases, a change fee of up to $100.00 per person may apply. Optional travel insurance is not refundable.

It is agreed by and between the customer and Discover Alaska that all disputes and matters whatsoever arising under, in connection with or incident to this Agreement and any part of the trip whatsoever shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a Court and/or Arbitrator located at 520 King Street, Alexandria, VA (or within Alexandria, VA) to the exclusion of the Courts of any other state or country. The payment of a deposit for this tour by the person or persons making such deposits shall be deemed to be an acceptance by each of them of all of the terms and conditions of the Agreement. Changes in the terms and conditions of the Tour Participant Agreement can be made only in writing signed by the president of Discover Alaska, Inc.

Program Denali National Park Tour:

Note* Due to Denali National Park Service operating guide lines, the 7-8 hour Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour may be modified to the 4-5 Tokat Tour on dates before May 20 and after Aug 25. The fully narrated Toklat Tour travels to Mile 53 of the Park Road to the Teklanika River Overlook. The Land+Sea Journey you are booked on could be affected by this modification.

Small plane flying in Alaska’s Arctic can be delayed or even cancelled on occasion due to weather. If the weather requires to alter the return method of travel from air to ground it will be done as an equal exchange of travel.
